Friday, Doug had the day off, so he and Uncle Henry put in the main pipe. We had no water Friday evening until Saturday mid-morning. Target saved me. =) They had a two for one Frapp sale going on. (expires today) We went Friday, but it was closed. Only used the restroom. Then went back Saturday morning. Got the Frapps, and of course used the bathroom again.
A little while later the water was back on. Not too bad, but realized water is really important.
Here's the current state of the front. Uncle and Doug put in the main line, and then put a line in for the sprinklers. We started filling up the hole already. The pipe sticking up is where the flower bed will be.
The guys we hired came on Friday, and Saturday to stump grind the trunks. Wooo HOOO!
If you remember...this was our backyard before. Hmm....you should definitely look at the before when we bought the house. It's a HUGE change!
And now... We had cut down everything back in September, and this is what has grown back. The crew was a husband wife team who came Friday and cleaned up. Saturday, a couple more guys came and helped them out.

After all that excitement Saturday, we needed a break. In my head, the plan was to relax. We were only going to visit Doug's uncle's house to check out all the improvements. Little did I know, we were also visiting his grandma and other auntie. His grandma is staying at an elderly care home. It's really really nice! You can tell they really take care of her. We brought strawberries cuz Saturday was her birthday. She's so cute! She said everyone was 28, including herself. =) Ironically, I'm really 28. haha We had a good time with her. Afterwards, we visited Doug's Auntie Shirley in the hospital. She was diagnosed with low sodium on Thursday evening, and was incoherent. It was nerve-racking cuz she normally walks 4 miles a day. Mind you, she's in her mid-80s, and in super great shape! We walked in, and she looked like she was back to herself again! She's such a trooper. I hope she gets to come home soon.
I was having a tough morning Sunday~ doing laundry and dishes. Just one of those days. It was nice to just get away a bit. Doug has such a good family. I feel so lucky to be a part it.
