We haven't moved in yet...

What's on my mind these days?  Well....it's more like what's not on my mind these days.  Here's a hint of what's going on in my head and my purse:

I've been lugging these around for days now!  What can I say?  When I want something done, I obsessively think about it.  The color choice would be a little easier if there were furniture around to match it.  Everyone says it's easier to paint when there's nothing in the way, but I need to color coordinate and have no clue where to start.  Anywho..I think I'm almost done deciding on a color, but I need to get one more sample just to be sure.  Yep, very neutral~ and is that an accent color?  Oooo maybe??

We haven't quite reached the painting process, but I'd say it's not too far away.  This coming up weekend we're planning to texturize the ceiling.  I'm hoping uncle can show us the process, so he doesn't have to go at it alone.  I've been trying to help by prepping the walls.  Currently, I'm taping up plastic onto the walls to protect the texture from hitting it.  Finished two rooms last night, 6 more spaces to go.  Whew! 

While I'm taping, Doug's been wiring the lights.  He's about finished, just two more to go.  Yay!  It's taken him about 3 weekends to complete the process.  The whole house was aluminum wiring.  Over time, the aluminum can be a fire hazard. We're nipping the butt here by changing it out to copper wiring.  Better safe than sorry. 

Doug's also changing out the pipes because there were leaks.  I can't give you the details because I myself don't know what he's doing.  =P  Definitely a lot more complicated than picking out paint and taping up walls.  Things are coming along.  Kinda feels like we already live at the house because we're there every night.  We just don't sleep there.  It's too dusty!
