Sewing My Life Away

While Doug's busy working on his car...(He's chopping off some of the muffler. He only needed half of it.)

I've been creating some more sewing projects.

It started with a simple light scarf. I found the tutorial for it at CraftStylish. Applied a more flowly material and created this.
Then I wanted to try something a little more challenging. I really love this sweater, so I wanted to make a copy of it. I drew out my own patterns, and sewed away. I love the material, and I can't believe I made it all by myself! Which one do you think is the real one?*

The final project looked the most difficult, but I did it! I followed the directions, and it's my new favorite messenger bag. I love the colors. =)
Customized pockets!
This is my favorite part! I love how the stitchings showed up on the pink. So proud of the "X"!!! =) =)

I think this was my first year that I realized, I miss back to school shopping!! Every year my sister and I would always head to target with my mom and dad. We would get some new clothes and backpacks. It's been about ten years since I've gone shopping with them in that sense. Oh how I miss that! Maybe this is what possessed me to make a few new school related items. Here's what I would look like if I went back to school today:
I'm wearing my Maker Faire shirt! =)

Good thing about sewing is...I didn't break the bank to do any of this stuff. I still have so much more material. I can't wait to see what else I can make with a sheet of fabric. Sewing is my new found love. Don't worry! Doug is still in my heart. haha I hope that sewing becomes lasting instead of all the other hobbies I've attempted. Maybe the other hobbies are seasonal?

*If you guessed all but the first, you're right!
