Don't worry, we got married! The wedding was exactly how we imagined it to be.
I'll start from the beginning. The week prior to the wedding was busy! We tried to do everything day by day and it worked perfectly. Thank goodness Loriann made all the cookies for us! I love how the favors came out. =) We all helped package them several days before. I'm so glad there were no last minute preparations for the wedding days. The only thing we had to do was look pretty.
Advice: plan ahead. Get great people to help you out. Our vendors were all so nice to work with! All of them were very responsive. The wedding definitely wouldn't come out the way it did without them. =D Ask family and friends to help too. No matter how much you want to do it all by yourself, it's less stressful to have people help you. You can come up with the idea, but having to do 200 of the same thing gets tiring. I wanted to do everything by myself because I kept reading wedding blogs. DIY looked so easy! I really thought I could do it myself. Luckily, Doug convinced me to ask my friends and family. I was so tired from work, and planning for a wedding seemed like a second job. Help was necessary. Trust other people, they can help!
We saved as much money as we could. I didn't care so much for flowers or a videographer. Doug thought it would be less stressful if we got a florist. We wouldn't have to assemble a bunch of flowers the night before. He's right. I'm glad we got to hang out with the family instead. The videographer was a last minute add in as well. I'm glad we got it because I completely blanked out during the ceremony. Now we have it on tape, so we can listen to it anytime. =D
Weddings are weddings, but I'm glad we have our lives back to normal. We have some things we're currently working on... Our trip to Oahu is tomorrow! Packing is pretty much complete. I don't know if this was much of an update....
Summing up November...
Got married, then Thanksgiving came and went. Hung out with family, and some friends. Woke up at 430AM for black Friday. Extremely tempted to buy a TV, but RESISTED! Good job! =D Back to work. It's been busy.
