Singing in the Rain / Bachelorette Party

Last Friday night, Doug and I had a date night. It's been forever since we've had one of those! I'm so glad we did. I surprised Doug with a dinner show in Tustin. He was afraid we weren't going to catch up with everything, but we were fine. It was a perfect evening. We got a 3-course meal - soup, salad, and entree. The meats (his chicken, my fish) were cooked a little too long, but the soup and side dishes were really good. I love mashed potatoes! We had about an hour and a half. That may seem like a really long time, but when you haven't talked to anyone in awhile, it's not enough! We mainly talked about our future. When you plan a wedding, all you talk about is wedding. Oy, enough already! We went back to talking about things we used to talk about before the wedding. The reasons why we're getting married. =P Much needed!

Singing in the Rain began at 8:30pm and ended at 10:30. There were 2 intermissions. The show was awesome!! We both love the movie, and the live performers made the musical even more loved. The leads were all great! I completely forgot what Gene Kelley sounds like! I sang the songs all night, and into the next day. It was addicting. =D

Saturday was my bachelorette party. Lisa and Winnie took me to get massages. We went to Montanya Spa in Santa Ana. The person I got was really good. She was talking to me the whole time, but that's fine with me. I was feeling great! =) The place was really homey. They gave us a bunch of things to use - blowdryers, hair brush, even toothbrush. I'm not using the toothbrush, but it's cool they supply them. For dinner we went to Lola Gaspar for Tapas. We way over ordered. Everything was so yummy! I can't even list everything we tried - duck fries, flatbread, tacos, dates wrapped in bacon. Droooolzzz.........Then we went to the Laugh Factory in LB. The comedians were really good. Wasn't too particlar with the last guy, but the MC for the night was hilarious. She was really animated. hahaha I don't remember her name either.

Thanks girls for taking me out for the night! I had a wonderful time. I hope you guys did too! =D I need more girls night out.
