A bit late

Better late than never.  I should have read up on the doctor's 12 months baby recommendations earlier.  I received the sheet during Sean's checkup, and just added it to my piles of paper.  I finally looked at it the other day.  It said that Sean is supposed to do baby led milk weaning.  It's recommended he drink 16-24 oz of milk a day, and the other times just give him water.  I just read this now, so I wasn't doing that.  I've been giving him well over 35 oz per day.  Actually, we were estimating over 40oz.  Eek!  He constantly says, "I want milk," so that's what I give him.  He wasn't eating solids because he was overfilled with milk.  Yikes!  I tapered his milk off, and gave him snacks and real food.  He's doing pretty well.  I was so worried because he wouldn't eat anything I gave him.  It all makes sense now.  I'm glad I figured it out.  Now, he's eating great!

He loves cauliflower.  Carrots, not so much yet.

Oranges are good.  I'm working on teaching him not to eat the peel.

And he finally likes banana!  I just give him half and he bites it.  Yay!  Same with cauliflower or broccoli, he wants the big "trees."

The banana photo totally looks like me when I was a kid!  At least how I saw myself.  =)

We really tired out Sean at the Exploratorium.  He woke up at 845, and wanted to nap at 1145.  I'm liking this quiet time.  Two blogs posts in one day.  I did dishes and ate lunch without a toddler nagging at my legs.  I could get used to this.  ;)
