It's been two weeks since we've been back from vacation. I'm still adjusting to being on my own again. The weekends don't come fast enough, even though I keep Sean very busy.
Sean is totally walking now! He started last Monday, and has been practicing everyday since then. Today, he walked backwards and in circles! He was so excited for himself. It was sooo cute! He's such a happy go lucky baby who doesn't want to miss anything.
I took him to a gym class, and he really liked it a lot. The instructor was super nice. He tried the ladder, a balance beam, and his favorite - a trampoline cuz he sure loves to jump. There was a cute little girl - age 2 - who wanted to hold his hand. She also gave him a rubber mat to sit next to her. She really liked Sean.
I also signed him up for a music class. It's only 2 sessions, but I really wanted to keep him exposed to music. I was going to the community sing along, but it's a bit unorganized. I heard about Kindermusik, so I gave it a try. The instructor let us sit through 2 classes. One of them was for 2 and under, and the other was 2-4 years. We went today. It's held in the library for the summer. Sean went to the baby class first, and was fascinated by library books instead. It took him a little while to warm up to sitting still. He's never really been good about that. I have a wandering child....like his daddy. :) Although, I have to admit, I'm always looking around my surroundings too. Sean seemed to enjoy the second class more. He was sharing the instruments with some other moms there. He even sat in her lap, so she could carry him! I have no idea where he learns this stuff. He also became more familiar with the instructor. She read a book included in the program, and Sean was front row. She would turn the page, and he would point, then say something to her. He was totally paying attention. I have a very attentive kiddo. The instructor said he would have a nice long nap after the class. She might have been right, but silly me, I took him out of his car seat so he woke up. I'll try next week.
Sean also went swimming this week. The pool is heated, so I thought why not? He loves the water. I love seeing his happy smiley face, so win-win.
On top of all this activity, I took him two 2 play groups. He made himself at home at one person's home already. She's so nice! I hope we don't overstay our welcome. I should bring her something. hmm...but what? So funny! Sean gave me a kiss at the play group. I'm not sure what he was thinking, but after that he went to go kiss a rocking horse, then another mommy. Haha Sean is such a flirt!
I've established Sean is a wandering, attentive, flirt. Such a strange combination!
I've been exhausted doing all these things. Maybe it's time to slow down, but I like doing them all. I don't know what I would cut out.
Lots of writing and no pictures. Bummer. Some unrelated pictures for your enjoyment. :)
