It's a comeback!

Hello world!

Well...you know it happens to everyone.  Start a blog, life happens, and becomes too hectic to post anything.  Yep, it has happened to me.  I think I'm going to try and update more regularly again, so check back on me okay?

Blogger keeps my drafted posts.  haha I was wondering what I last talked about, and looks like I attempted to blog 2 other times.  3rd time's a charm I guess!  This post is going live.

Here was my post from October 3rd, 2013...

I completely forgot all about you.  Life is zooming by, but what's new?  I had a baby.  He's surrounded by lots of loving people.  Next week he'll be five months.  I'm soaking it all in, and it feels great.  The first month was the toughest month in my life.  I don't think I had enough warning on how hard nursing was going to be.  Ugh.  I'm so glad he

Here's a post from January 21st, 2014...

2014 - The Year for Change

--------------------------

Not much of a post huh?  Oops.  Well, I'll continue from there.  It's June now.  Half the year is over.  My most overused phrase, "Life is moving too fast!"

Here's my short list for the first half of 2014:

  1. We finished our yard.  Grass and cement.
  2. Hubs job relocated to the Bay Area.
  3. Found renters for our home.
  4. Decision to be a stay at home mom. (best decision ever)
  5. My baby Sean turned one.  It's play time!
I guess that sums up everything.  See!  It all moved too quickly.  I don't even remember what happened yesterday.  =P  Oh yea, I'm still unpacking!  Millions of dishes, and I keep piling things on the dining table.  Please tell me I'm not the only one.  Flylady, help me!

Just to keep you interested...=)  Here's some baby pictures of Sean:

There's plenty more pictures.  I don't want to bombard you with all of them.  I just love this little guy so much.  I'm glad I'm part of the mom population that has the privilege to be at home with their child.  It's amazing watching the little things he learns about the world.   I commend the mom's who work, and come home to take care of their children.  It's tough.  Mom's job is 24/7 all right.

---------------------

I'm going to set a goal.  I know my pattern: I start something, and I'm good about it for a week.  After the week is over, I give up.  I'm going to try to keep up with this longer than that.  For my sanity.  Not that Sean drives me insane.  It's the chores and cleaning up that do.  So my goal is to write about the things I do with Sean during the day.  Even if it's just having success at feeding him one meal.  A friend told me to make a happiness jar, but I forgot about it.  I started at the beginning of the year, but gave up on it pretty quickly.  This blog series can be my happiness jar (or frustrations).

My rambling is over....Here's the real post :)

Sean has the tendency, as all kids do, to stick every little thing he finds on the floor in his mouth.  Why he needs to know what a rock off the bottom of my sandal tastes like?  I have no idea.  He definitely has a curious mind.  =)  I read him a lot of animal books, so he loves animal sounds.  I'm starting to teach him role play with animal figurines.  I can see he still has the urge to stick the animal in his mouth,  but that's after he finds out what's happening in my pretend story.  =)

I took him to wee play today.  It's a thing they have up here for little kids in an indoor open space.  We haven't been in a month, and he was so excited to return.  He was playing with the bead roller coaster.  We actually just bought one last week at Ikea.  He sat in the chair like a big kid, and started playing with it.  I'm one proud mama.  =)

Later in the afternoon, we went to the park to meet up with a buddy of his.  They went on the swings together.  He had such a good time.  He didn't want to leave.  I put him in the car, and he started to cry. I made him feel better by giving him a cookie.  Yes, the thought has crossed my mind.  "He's going to love cookies."  =)  C is for Cookie...

Anyways, it's fun to blog again.  Hopefully, I'll be back soon.  Busy weekend coming up...my sister is in town.  We're going to the sandcastle contest and zoo!   Can't wait to see Sean's face when he sees a giraffe in person!  He seems to like the giraffe a lot right now.  Ahh!!  Expressions on his face are priceless!
