Us....shopping?

Yep, we bit the bullet, and bought a bunch of stuff!

Last weekend, we went on a shopping spree at Home Depot.  They had a 40% mark down on many items because the store was moving to another location.  We hit the jackpot!

Here's a list of some items we bought:

Gazebo - $99 originally $199.  We bought this for Indie cuz there isn't much shade in the backyard during the day for him.  He's black so he gets really hot.
Garbage can
Two Hoses
Mail box
Boards to build the frame of the wall
Weed killer

I don't remember the prices on anything else.  I just know we don't have to pay for 6 months because it's over $300.  Scary, but we've done that twice already this summer...most likely a third time coming this weekend when we buy concrete.  Money doesn't grow on trees...If it did, we already cut all the trees down. Oh the symbolism...

Anyways...This past Saturday, we went to OSH cuz Doug's uncle works there.  He got us a really good deal on a kitchen faucet.  I couldn't pass it up!

I've been eyeing a Grohe at Costco for $250.  At least 6 months or so.  It's a beaut.  Sighs...

The faucet was marked down 15%, and Uncle got 40% off.  Yea, I couldn't resist!

We are going to replace this ugly thing very soon....

The house came with this old faucet.  We wanted to replace it because when you turn the faucet as pictured, the water is smokin' hot.  Several people have complained about burning themselves while helping us wash dishes.  We know how to operate the sink without hurting ourselves, but we're just looking out for everyone else.  The new faucet should be installed sometime soon.  Yay!

Aside from shopping for the house, we've been working on it as well.

Last weekend, we dug a trench.

Doug was off this past Friday, so he and uncle put up the frame for the concrete.

The area behind the frame is going to be our future courtyard.  In front of it will be grass.  Yay for progress!  Good job Hubby and Uncle!!  

Funny story....I started digging the drain on Saturday.  I took a break for lunch, and ate two slices of pizzas.  Then I knocked out on the couch for 2 hours!  I've been eating consistently healthy, so that junk food really took a toll on me.  Doug found me on the sofa with my legs crossed, and the rest of my body had fallen to the side.  haha I was done. 

Coming up Saturday, we pour!  (Concrete that is)
