Apple Gruyere Pie

I made a pie with gruyere cheese crust! Tastes delicious! Here's a link to the recipe. I was inspired by Pushing Daisies. I'm glad I followed through on this one. The recipe calls for lard, but I used butter and it worked out great! When you get ready to roll the dough, sandwich the dough in between parchment paper sprinkled with flour. Helped a lot!

The egg glaze really browns the crust. We have more apples, so I think I'll make another one tomorrow. :)
