Pillowcase Dress

I was really intimidated by this machine as a kid.  It was my grandma's.  At the age of 16 I tried to make a skirt, and the machine would just go ZOOOOOMMMMM....  I was just learning to drive a car at the time.  I figured I could control a sewing machine too.  It's NOT the same thing.  After that experience, forget it.  No more sewing.

Yesterday, I went to my grandma's house to get over my fears.  Guess what?  I've gotten a lot more control now.  Yay!  I can steer straight, but the curves, uh not quite there yet.  However, I did make a dress for my little niece yesterday.  I bought a pillowcase from a second-hand store.  Just 99 cents.  Actually bought two, but my auntie took the other one.  haha She wanted to keep it for herself.  =P

Here's what not giving up looks like! Totally should have ironed it!  Eeekk...
