We met with another set of realtors yesterday. We definitely feel a lot more comfortable working with them than our other guy. They showed us 7 homes, and we liked two of them.
One was cluttered with stuff. It's a short sale, so the owners were still living in the place. It didn't look like they were ready to move at all. I looked beyond that, and saw lots of potential in the 4 bedrooms. All fair sizes, two living spaces, and a large L-shaped kitchen. The house is above our price range, so we aren't considering this one anymore. Don't worry, I'm not heartbroken. =P
The second one we liked was more of what we're looking for. It's in the perfect location, and it's a well loved home. The owner was home for this house as well. It's got all the necessities - 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room and kitchen. Every room was a bit small. However for location, condition, and the price of the home, we couldn't help but keep it on our list. We're going to check it out again tomorrow to look at it more closely. The yard is huge, so if we ever consider expanding we would have the option to so. There's already an offer on the home. The owners really liked us, so they're putting it on hold for us since they really liked us.
Thoughts- We love the area. The home is within our price range; however, we were planning to reach our price range in a few months. We're still short right now. Remember when I said that we were hoping our house would find us? What if it has? I'm not sure if we should wait, or just take it. What to do when the house you want is a little too small, but the price is right? Is the price even right? What if there's an even bigger drop in home prices? Oh the things running thru my head right now...
