Radio Lab!!

Radio Lab is one of my favorite podcasts!! 

Yesterday, Doug and I went to UCLA's Royce Hall for Radio Lab.  It was really cool!  They explored the ideas of Symmetry in social connection, parting hairs, mirror images, and being blindfolded.  It was interesting to watch how the interviews conducted played off of Jad's machine.  I know technology is amazing, but Jad's amazing.  He mixes these audios before the show, and uses them in the right place at the right time at a push of a button.  Robert Kulrich was impressed too!  They're such a funny team.  =)  I was so fascinated by the flow of the live conversations Jad would have with Robert and the pre-recorded material.  It was so amazing!  I'm supposing that's how all their radio sessions are.  Definitely a different style of recording.  =)

This was my first time on the UCLA campus.  I totally want to go back to school!  The campus is somewhat secluded.  It didn't feel like LA.  More like U-Dub or even Harvard.  Maybe because of all the bricks?  Go see the campus if you haven't yet.  It's a campus worth seeing.  If it weren't for the cold, I would have snapped some pictures.

Afterwards, we headed to Diddy Riese for ice cream sandwiches.  Macadamia nut with white chocolate cookies were a little too sweet for me, especially sandwiched with ice cream.  Loved the ice cream though!  Mint chip is my fav.  =)  I got Doug Rocky Road with Macadmia.  He loves Rocky Road, but the same response with the mac.  A little too sweet on the white chocolate.  He already wants to go back to see what other cookies they have.  $1.50 is such a great deal!
