Birthday!

I had a great time with Doug on Saturday! He surprised me by taking me to Catalina. I've never been there! It was a nice get-away. I took Dramamine on the way there, but I still got a little motion sickness. It was so foggy that we were hardly moving. The boat ride lasted an hour an a half. I was so glad to be off the boat.

We headed straight to kayaking. =D (I knew it!) We were in Descanso Beach. This beach was very secluded. It felt like we were in some far away land. We snorkeled around. There were a lot of kelp beds. We got washed up on one. I was laughing and screaming for help! I'm not a good swimmer, so Doug held my hand for the first portion of it. I let go after a bit, and it wasn't too scary. After kayaking, we had random food runs. It started getting chilly, so we went hunting for a sweatshirt. There's a lot of cute touristy shops there. I was looking for a mug, but no luck. I can't wait to go back! I want to bike around and explore the rest of the island. I'm glad it's so close by. I'm sure we'll be returning soon.
