Month of July Updates

Aside from looking at rings, it's been a busy month. As the month comes to an end I find myself super stressed. No worries because next month, I'll have a whole new start.

So two weekends out of the month, we went camping. We went to Doheney Beach. Relaxing weekend in the sun. Camped right on the ocean. It was really nice to relax and enjoy laughter with friends. The second camping trip was just as relaxing. We went to Pismo Beach, and did some off roading in the sand. Always enjoy our annual trip.

Last Friday, I took the day off. Doug and I headed off to San Diego, and kayaked in the ocean! It was definitely one of our best experiences ever. We were supposed to go through caves, but the swells from the ocean were so high that we couldn't. I actually got a little nauseous. They did give us a free pass to check out the caves next time, so that was really nice. We caught a wave on our way back to shore. I was freaked, but we made it! =) I want to go back!

Wedding stuff:

• We finally heard back from the florist! I think we're going to go for it. Maria is helping us out a lot. It's definitely more than what I wanted to pay for flowers, but at least everything will look gorgeous. She does really beautiful work.
• Our engagement photos will be taken on August 15th. We're going to the Fullerton Arboretum to have them done. I think we'll also stop by the beach, but there's a permit fee of $400. The fine is only $100 something. I'd rather pay the fine. We don't even have to take too many. I'm crossing my fingers we don't get caught.
• We met with Pastor Rick on Monday. He was sooo cool! I'm excited because he uses his own life experiences to tell us what to expect in a marriage. We'll be meeting him again in two weeks.
• Doug along with his groomsmen got their tux fittings earlier in the month too. We're all set with them. I think he chose this one from Men's Warehouse.
• Bridesmaid dresses have yet to be determined, but I'm hopeful.
• The envelopes have been addressed, and are ready to be sent out Monday. Family will be receiving them before friends.
• We also choose some items for our gift registry. It's not super finalized. Is it weird to register at 4 locations??
• We also started our wedding page. It's still in the works, so I'll post up a link soon.

Work's been a little slow, so I've been taking a little time off. I'm off for two hours today. I'm glad I finally get to blog! It's been a crazy month...
